What
When you type a file path, Claude Code can suggest how to complete it. Accepting a suggestion inserts it into your prompt as a mention, a reference to a file. The part of Claude Code that formats that text now always writes it as @path. If the path contains spaces, it writes @"path" instead.
Before, this part of Claude Code could also write a / form, which replaced spaces with %20. It no longer writes that form.
Why
If you insert paths with spaces from suggestions that start with /, the inserted text may look different now.
