What
Directory sync keeps files in step between your session and another machine where commands can run. After such a command, sync used to add a short note that Claude could read, for example that files the command changed would reach the session with your next message, or that the other machine's uploads were not getting through just then. Those notes are no longer added. Sync now only records usage data about the event.
Why
In practice, Claude no longer gets a hint during the turn that changed files are still on the other machine, including when sync has stalled, so it may not know to look for them there.
