Before resending a published artifact, Claude Code now reads the version currently on the server. If the server copy is newer than the version Claude Code last sent, Claude Code reports the file as moved and uses the newer copy instead of sending its own again.
This sits behind a server-side switch whose built-in default is on.
Edits made to an artifact elsewhere are less likely to be overwritten by an older copy.
