What
This is a group of internal changes:
- The "seed" source kind is removed, and a "folder" source is now always accepted instead of depending on whether it was seeded.
- Respawning a process now clears
reattachEnv(sets it tovoid 0, meaning empty). - The SSE transport, a kind of live connection to a server, gains two new fields:
heldandconnectionPolicyReading. - Entries recorded as gone out of scope are now objects built from
pathBytes. validateDirectoryForWorkspacenow spots null bytes in a folder path by the type of error instead of by the error message text.- The builder for user attributes in OTEL telemetry (OpenTelemetry, a standard way of reporting usage data) now accepts extra base attributes.
- A check for whether a proxy is in use gains a yes/no parameter that can force the answer to false.
Why
These are structural changes. The null-byte check no longer depends on the exact wording of an error message, which makes it less likely to break if that wording changes.
