What

Claude Code sometimes runs tmux, a terminal tool that keeps several terminal sessions open inside one window. Two of its tmux calls now go through a different internal helper that accepts an options argument:

  • tmux -V, which checks the installed tmux version
  • kill-session, which closes a tmux session
Why

The commands are the same, but the way Claude Code launches them has changed. This is mainly relevant if tmux behaviour around these two steps looks different from before.
