What

Selection lists are the menus where you pick one option from several. Several things about how they look have changed:

  • Hover style: the default is now "tint" instead of "pointer".
  • No-colour terminals: a new "inverse" style is used automatically when the colour level is 0, meaning no colours are available.
  • One hovered option: only one option in a list can show as hovered at a time.
  • Long text: option labels and descriptions are now cut off at the end (wrap: "truncate-end") instead of spilling onto more lines.
  • Tick mark: the tick next to an option no longer shrinks when space is tight.
Why

Menus should look tidier, with long option text staying on one line and no confusion about which option is under the pointer. On a terminal without colour, the hovered option is still visible because it is shown in inverse.
