What
The sandbox is the set of limits placed on commands Claude Code runs, including which files they may write. For each git folder it protects, it now also denies writes to:
objects/info/alternates
objects/info/http-alternates
On macOS these are blocked even when the files do not exist yet. Separately, the path lookup for additionalDirectories now reports its errors instead of hiding them.
Why
Commands in the sandbox can no longer create or change these two git files. If an additionalDirectories entry cannot be resolved, you now see an error rather than nothing.
