The sandbox is the restricted environment Claude Code can run commands in. When building its configuration throws a config error during setup, Claude Code now records that with configBuildFailed. Any later setup attempt then stops straight away.
Why
A broken sandbox configuration is not retried again and again. Fix the configuration and restart, rather than expecting it to recover on its own.
