What
An MCP server is an outside program that gives Claude Code extra tools. When a program connected to Claude Code adds a server with addMcpServer, the pending add is now tracked by name. A later add of the same name, or a removeMcpServer call made while the add is still in progress, now cancels it.
Why
Before, a slow add could finish after the server had been removed and put it back. A removed server now stays removed.
