When Claude Code copies a project's files to a remote machine for the first time, or keeps a folder in sync with one, it ends with a "Left on this machine" summary. That summary lists files it did not send, grouped by reason. It now has a new category, configuration_linked, for files held back because they are linked from your Claude Code configuration. Configuration here means the settings files that control how Claude Code behaves.
