In headless mode, Claude Code runs without its interactive screen and is driven by another program through control requests. The large block that checked and queued poll_event requests has been replaced by a call to a shared handler, and its error messages, such as the auto-mode requirement, no longer appear at that spot.
Why
This is a reorganisation of where the checks live. Programs sending poll_event requests go through the shared handler now.
