What
Plugins (add-ons that extend Claude Code) can show short pop-up messages called toasts through $.ui.toast. A new display draws them as a stack of boxes in the top-right corner:
- Each box shows the plugin's name and its message, wrapped to at most 44 columns.
- Hovering over a toast keeps it open, and clicking it dismisses it.
- A " +N more " line counts toasts that do not fit.
- The stack is hidden while toasts are paused.
- Toasts slide in and fade over 240 ms, with no animation when reduced motion is on or the box has no frame.
This display is used only when the host's stacksToasts flag is true. Otherwise plugin toasts appear as ordinary notifications, as before.
Why
Several plugin messages can be on screen at once and you control when they close. Whether you see the new stack depends on the host setting it.

The writer flagged doubt
The finding does not say which hosts set `stacksToasts` to true.
