What
The Discover plugins screen is where you browse plugins, which are add-on packages of extra features, from marketplaces, which are the catalogues plugins are listed in. It has several changes:
- It can open with a marketplace already chosen (
initialMarketplace) and a search already typed (initialSearchQuery). Search mode opens once the plugins have loaded. - Plugins can be filtered by marketplace (
marketplaceFilter). A keyboard shortcut context for this filter is active only when there are more than two marketplaces. - A new check reports a marketplace as "blocked" or "unavailable". When it reports "blocked", marketplaces from certain sources are not counted as configured.
- Plugins that match through
installCountIdsare now excluded, and those ids are also sent in suggestion telemetry, the usage data sent back to Anthropic. - The plugin details screen now uses install and back actions (
onInstall,onBack) instead of a numbered menu position.
Marketplace loading from this screen is tagged with the surface discover. Plugin installs record a surface unless the install was triggered by a hint.
Why
Other parts of Claude Code can send you straight to a filtered, pre-searched view instead of an empty list. Blocked marketplaces no longer count towards the marketplaces you appear to have set up.
