When the NotebookEdit tool, which Claude uses to edit notebook files, refuses an edit because of where the file lives, its reason now reads that the notebook "may be on a network path". The wording presents a network location as a possibility rather than a certainty.
Why
The message no longer claims more than Claude Code knows about the file's location, so a reader seeing it should treat a network path as one likely cause to check.
