The footer is the strip of information under the prompt where you type. A second footer design has been added alongside the current one. It works out its own row width and can show background tasks, frames and memories. It comes with an onOpenArtifacts shortcut for opening artifacts, and the PromptHint area makes the same choice between an old and a new mode indicator.
The switch that picks the new footer is fixed to off in this build, so it never appears and everyone keeps the existing footer. The one visible side effect is that the history-search box is now wrapped in a measured container, because the width calculation still runs.
Why
Nothing changes on screen for now apart from that wrapper. The new footer and artifacts shortcut exist in the code but cannot be reached in this build.
