MCP servers are add-on connections that give Claude extra tools. The dialog opened by /mcp lists them, and that list has been rebuilt on a shared scrolling list. It now wraps around and shows a scroll bar, replacing the old "N more above" and "N more below" hints. Each server's status is now shown as short labels:
Status icons now carry text labels for screen readers, such as connected:, connecting: and not configured:. Server names are cleaned before they are shown. Rows for hidden claude.ai connectors are now cut short instead of wrapping onto a second line. When an internal flag is on, the up/down and Enter key hints and the plain not configured text are hidden.
Why
Long server lists are easier to move through, the reason a server isn't working is quicker to read, and screen-reader users hear each server's status.
