What
Every step of /install-github-app now appears inside one dialog titled "Install GitHub App". The changes you can see:
Step subtitles: each step names itself, such as "Select GitHub repository" or "Choose API key".
Key hints: each step shows which keys select, continue, and cancel with Esc.
Finished screens: these now say "Press any key to exit".
Some fixes behind the scenes:
A submit coming from a step you have already left is now ignored.
The secret step no longer submits when there is neither an existing secret nor a name.
If the named secret does not exist, the key Claude Code detected is used instead.
A guard against running the same action twice is now always reset when the action ends.
Why
The setup is easier to follow because you can always see which step you are on and which keys to press. The fixes stop a quick or repeated key press from sending an answer to the wrong step, and stop the secret step from going ahead with nothing to save.
The entry above is what we published on the day. These lines were added later, as Anthropic's own pages caught up, and they sit beside the original rather than replacing it.
