Internal git commands now ignore more of a repository's auxiliary files

What

Claude Code runs git behind the scenes for many of its own tasks. It passes -c options, which override git settings for a single command. The shared list used to turn off only core.commitGraph and core.multiPackIndex. It now also sets pack.useBitmaps=false and pack.readReverseIndex=false.

• General internal calls: the list feeds the argument sets RO and WH (the latter also sets submodule.recurse=false). These are used for stash create, ls-files, bundle list-heads, diff-index and the check for shallow repositories.
• Teleport overlay calls: the base arguments for git calls on teleport overlay bundles, which previously were --no-optional-locks and -c advice.graftFileDeprecated=false, now also turn off commit-graph, multi-pack index, bitmaps and reverse index.

Why

Commit-graph files, multi-pack indexes, bitmaps and reverse indexes are optional helper files git keeps to speed things up. If they are corrupt, incompatible, or planted in a repository you don't fully trust, they can make git misbehave. With them switched off, Claude Code's own git commands no longer depend on these files. Your own git commands are not affected.
