When Claude Code compares files against Git's index (Git's record of what is staged for the next commit), it now leaves out two kinds of entry:
- submodules, which are other Git repositories nested inside yours
- entries already marked as compared
Why
A nested repository is not an ordinary file, so it no longer shows up in this check as if it were one.
