What
Claude Code's internal check for whether a path exists now uses fs.lstat. A symbolic link is a small file that points at another file. When its target is missing it is called a dangling symlink, and the check now treats it as existing instead of missing.
Why
In practice, a broken link sitting at a path is now seen as occupying that path rather than being reported as absent.
