What
Directory sync copies your local files to a remote session. If the sync service answers with unauthorized or lane_unavailable, Claude Code now treats it as a refusal. Claude sees a new notice saying the sync service refuses this session's requests right now.
Why
Claude learns that files are not syncing and why, so it does not assume your latest files arrived.
