What
Compaction is the step where Claude Code shortens a long conversation by summarizing earlier parts of it. After compaction, when a certain condition holds, an internal value called noChannelTools is now reset along with declaredTools, which was already being reset.
Why
The two values are now cleared together, so noChannelTools no longer carries over past a compaction in the cases where declaredTools is cleared.
