When Claude Code starts or resumes an agent that works in the background, it usually gives the agent an output file and tells Claude about it, including advice not to watch the file with tail. When the host has no disk to write to, the agent now gets no output file. The launch result then leaves out both the output_file line and the advice.
Why
In setups without a disk, Claude is no longer told to look for a file that is not there.
