Claude Code can run agents, which are separate helper workers, and send them messages through a mailbox. When a message arrives for an agent that has been evicted, meaning unloaded, Claude Code checks whether its task is running and resumes it. Both the check and the resume now use the task after it has finished loading. Before, they used a value that had not finished loading yet.
Why
The running-task check and the resume now work on the real task, so a message to an evicted agent is handled against the correct state.
