The file-based memory system (synthesis from separate .md memory files with <synthesis:> parsing, "Recalled from memory" display, memory pruning "dreams") has been removed from the codebase in this version. The /memory command, CLAUDE.md-based memory, and # shortcut or /memory saves facts and preferences to CLAUDE.md tip remain in place — memory continues to work via CLAUDE.md files. If you relied on the older per-file memory directory with separate user/, feedback/, and project/ typed memory files, those files are no longer read by Claude Code as of this version.
