DisclaimerUnofficial, and not affiliated with Anthropic. Nearly all of this is read straight out of what ships: npm bundles, captured prompts, published docs. Anthropic's own notes go in verbatim, marked as theirs. The rest is my reading, and every entry carries the strings behind it. If one looks wrong, vote it down and say why.

Improved HTTPS Clone Error Messages

What

Better error guidance when git clone fails with HTTPS authentication.

Details
  • Removed automatic token injection logic (previously tried injecting GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket tokens)
  • Now provides clearer message: "Please ensure your credential helper is configured (e.g., gh auth login)"
  • Simplifies troubleshooting by pointing users to standard git authentication setup
Evidence

eM9() at line 211687 (contains "gh auth login")

Strings lifted out of the shipped bundle, so the claim above can be checked against them.
