The "switch from npm to native installer" notification has been refreshed and is now a registered startup notification with priority high.

Details
  • Message: Claude Code has switched from npm to native installer. Run \claude install\ or see https://docs.anthropic.com/en/docs/claude-code/getting-started for more options.
  • Suppressed in development builds and when DISABLE_INSTALLATION_CHECKS is set.
Evidence

Startup notification (search for "npm-deprecation-warning" and "Claude Code has switched from npm to native installer").
