DisclaimerUnofficial, and not affiliated with Anthropic. Nearly all of this is read straight out of what ships: npm bundles, captured prompts, published docs. Anthropic's own notes go in verbatim, marked as theirs. The rest is my reading, and every entry carries the strings behind it. If one looks wrong, vote it down and say why.

Reference / CLI flags

--forward-home-settings

A Claude Code CLI flag, read out of the shipped bundle. No mined inventory carries it: everything below comes from what this site has written about it.

What it is

The hidden --no-home-settings flag becomes --forward-home-settings true or false, so you can force it on.

Not Anthropic's. This is the line from the earliest changelog entry here that named it, v2.1.246.

Presence across releases

The miner has never read a build containing this name. It is here because a changelog entry of ours names it, which is evidence that it existed and not evidence of which releases carried it. The inventory starts at v2.1.138 and everything older than that was never mined.

Changelog entries naming it

  1. v2.1.246--no-home-settings replaced by --forward-home-settings <true|false>

The hidden --no-home-settings flag becomes --forward-home-settings true or false, so you can force it on.

  2. v2.1.246Forwarding your home settings to a cloud session now records explicit consent

Forwarding your home settings to a cloud session now records your consent separately from permission.

Documentation pages

None of Anthropic's documentation pages this site has a copy of carries this name.

Names beside it

Every CLI flag in the inventory starting --forward, up to twelve of them.

--forward-subagent-textEmit [subagent](/docs/en/sub-agents) text and thinking blocks in the output stream as assistant and user messages with parent_tool_use_id set, so you can reconstruct each subagent's transcript. Without this flag, Claude Code emits only subagent tool_use and tool_result blocks. Requires --print and --output-format stream-json. Claude Code also forwards messages from [nested subagents](/docs/en/sub-agents#let-subagents-spawn-their-own-subagents), setting parent_tool_use_id to the ID of the Agent tool call that spawned each one; this requires Claude Code v2.1.219 or later. The [CLAUDE_CODE_FORWARD_SUBAGENT_TEXT](/docs/en/env-vars) environment variable enables the same behavior. Requires Claude Code v2.1.211 or later 2.1.211

Read out of the published npm bundle release by release, and out of Anthropic's own documentation as this site captured it. Nothing on this page is a description anybody here wrote about what the CLI flag does. All CLI flags.
