If you or your administrator set `replaceBuiltInOptions` in a [`modelPicker`](/docs/en/settings-reference#modelpicker) lineup, Claude Code hides the discovered models from the picker.
 
 Developers enable it by setting [`CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_GATEWAY_MODEL_DISCOVERY=1`](/docs/en/env-vars), in their own environment or through managed settings. Discovery is off by default so that gateways backed by a shared API key don't surface every model the key can access to every user.
