Unlike [subagents](#subagent), which run within a single session and report only to the parent, teammates each have their own context window and you can interact with any of them directly. Agent teams are experimental and must be enabled by setting `CLAUDE_CODE_EXPERIMENTAL_AGENT_TEAMS=1`.
