A permission mode is the setting that decides how often Claude asks before acting, passed with `--permission-mode`. Before, only `plan` was carried over and any other mode was dropped.\n\nOther changes to the move:\n\n- Remote Control fallback: the move no longer falls back to Remote Control when copying the session is not possible.\n\n- Permission changes during the move: Claude Code now also checks the proactivity level when deciding whether your permissions changed while the move was under way.\n\n- Ended conversations: a conversation that Claude ended can no longer be moved to the cloud. Claude Code shows \"Claude ended this conversation, so it can't go on here or in the cloud.\"\n\n**Why**\n\nA session running in a mode such as `auto` or `dontAsk` keeps that mode in the cloud instead of quietly switching back to the default.\n\n- Area: Cloud Sessions\n- Names: `\/teleport`, `--permission-mode`\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 3\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: yes"}
