Before, a proposal to improve one through `propose_skills` had to carry a whole new `skillMd` that replaced the file. Now:\n\n- An improvement can carry an `edits` array instead: 1 to 100 `old_string`\/`new_string` replacements, applied in order.\n\n- A new skill still needs `skillMd` and takes no edits.\n\n- Edits are checked against the current `SKILL.md`. Failures give specific errors, such as an `old_string` that is missing or appears more than once, or `edits_on_old_copy` when the copy differs from the last proposal.\n\n- The tool also adds `deriveObservableInput`, and its prompt is built from a helper that depends on a gate.\n\nNothing has been read about the related gate `tengu_propose_skills_read_check`.\n\n**Why**\n\nSkill proposals can patch an existing skill rather than rewriting it, which lowers the chance of accidentally dropping existing content.\n\n- Area: Skills\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 3\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
