Claude Code now has a setting that turns each of those questions into a refusal, so the action is denied and nothing waits for an answer. With it on:\n\n- Any request that would have asked you is denied.\n\n- For questions only a person can answer, hooks (your own scripts that run at set points) and other approvers are not consulted.\n\n- In auto mode, the question about reading files outside the project is skipped.\n\nSeparately, the denial produced in `dontAsk` mode no longer carries the question that would have been asked.\n\n**Why**\n\nThis gives Claude Code a way to run without anyone watching, likely for headless runs (runs with no interactive screen) or scheduled runs, where a question would otherwise wait forever.\n\n- Area: Permissions\n- Tier: Use it now\n- Useful: 5\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: both\n- Heads-up: no"}
