The row comes from a recipe that Anthropic's server sends, with a lead model, a worker model, a label and a description. A subagent is a helper Claude starts to work on part of a task, and picking the row sets `CLAUDE_CODE_SUBAGENT_MODEL` and `CLAUDE_CODE_SUBAGENT_MODEL_FORCE`, which choose the model those helpers use.\n\n- The row is ignored if you have already set those environment variables yourself.\n\n- A recipe that is not valid is ignored and noted in the log.\n\n- The model-mix settings also gain a description field.\n\n**Why**\n\nThe server can offer a ready-made choice of models for subagents straight from the picker. Your own environment variables always win over it.\n\n- Area: Models\n- Names: `CLAUDE_CODE_SUBAGENT_MODEL`, `CLAUDE_CODE_SUBAGENT_MODEL_FORCE`\n- Tier: Use it now\n- Useful: 5\/5\n- Signal: 4\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
