Some connector tools take a file as one of their inputs. For these, the model can now give the path of a file on your computer, and Claude Code sends the file itself, not the path. The model is told: \"Give the path of a file on this computer. The file itself is sent, not the path.\"\n\nIf a call would send the path as plain text instead of the file, Claude Code refuses it. The error explains that no file was sent and the tool was not called.\n\nThe feature is off unless it is switched on remotely. It is always off in remote sessions and in environment sessions. A small per-turn count of uploads that the headless runner used to keep has been removed. The headless runner is the mode that runs Claude Code without the interactive screen.\n\n**Why**\n\nConnectors that work on files can now get the real file from your machine. The refusals stop a file path from being sent to a connector as text by mistake, where it would be useless or would reveal your folder layout.\n\n- Flag `tengu_steady_quail`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.319; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Connectors\n- Tier: Nothing to try yet\n- Useful: 4\/5\n- Signal: 4\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no\n- Present in the build but not switched on"}
