Claude Code can now notice this, keep the full input to `tail` in a file, and add a note such as 'Full output ({size}): {path} Read it instead of re-running.' (or 'Full input to tail').\n\n- This applies when the run takes long enough and `tail` threw away some input, and only when the saved file is larger than what was returned.\n\n- It works only on Linux, without `CLAUDE_CODE_SHELL_PREFIX` set, and under some other conditions.\n\n- How it behaves follows the value of the server-controlled switch `tengu_peaceful_origami`: `checks` or `any` for which lines count, with optional custom wording.\n\n- A failed command (one with a non-zero exit code) gets this note only when a separate switch allows it. That switch is now `tengu_parallel_sunrise`, with a fallback of off. It used to be `tengu_tidy_origami`, a switch whose purpose was not known before. The same switch also takes part in a second output-handling decision whose details were not traced.\n\nNothing has been read about `tengu_parallel_sunrise`. Readings this site took before this release found `tengu_peaceful_origami` and `tengu_tidy_origami` off for its own account and for an anonymous one. No reading has been taken under this release.\n\n**Why**\n\nIt saves Claude from re-running a slow build or test just to see output that `tail` cut off. Because it is controlled from the server, it may not appear for everyone.\n\n- Flag `tengu_parallel_sunrise`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.317; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Flag `tengu_tidy_origami`: Off in both readings (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.317; this account: off, anonymous baseline: off, compiled default: not a boolean we can read) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Bash\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 3\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
