A docs connector is a connection that lets Claude create and edit documents in an outside service.\n\nIn plan mode, when Claude uses a docs connector to create a new document, Claude Code now records that document as the plan's document. Once the creation succeeds, it fills in the document's id. Claude Code also records usage data on whether the plan document was created. This only happens in remote sessions, which are sessions where `CLAUDE_CODE_REMOTE` is set.\n\nBefore, the connector call only triggered the existing step that runs after a document is created.\n\n**Why**\n\nIn a remote session, a plan can now be tied to a real document that Claude created for it.\n\n- Area: Plan Mode\n- Tier: Under the hood\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
