When a command prints more than fits, Claude Code saves the full output to a file and shows a shorter preview. Before, that preview kept only the beginning.\n\nA new path keeps both the beginning and the end of the output, joined by a line saying the output was cut there and the full output was saved to a file. This is off unless it is switched on remotely.\n\n**Why**\n\nLong build and test runs usually report their errors at the end. Keeping the end in the preview means Claude can see those errors without having to open the saved file.\n\n- Flag `tengu_hushed_wren`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.315; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Bash Tool\n- Tier: Nothing to try yet\n- Useful: 3\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no\n- Present in the build but not switched on"}
