The way it gets its settings has been reworked.\n\n- The per-session fields `totalTokensReminderMode`, `totalTokensReminderBudget`, `totalTokensReminderAfterUserTurn`, `subagentBudgetOnTopOfStart` and `subagentBudgetNote` were removed and replaced by a single flag, `totalTokensReminderClientDataReported`.\n\n- The helpers that read the reminder settings from client data were rewritten. Each setting is now reported once per session, and the remote value goes through a single path.\n\n- The mode no longer has an explicit override layer and defaults to `padded-countdown`. The budget and after-user-turn settings keep their fallbacks.\n\n- In the control group of the captured prompt, the `<total_tokens>` line no longer appears in the system prompt.\n\n**Why**\n\nIf you relied on setting the reminder mode explicitly, that override appears to be gone. In practice the reminder is now driven by settings sent from the service rather than by local per-session values.\n\n- Area: System Prompt\n- Tier: Under the hood\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 2\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
