Some programs that host Claude Code supply their own custom redirect address, the place your browser is sent back to after you sign in.\n\nIf the server's sign-in service offered no client registration when it was last checked, sign-in now goes through localhost (your own computer) instead of that custom redirect address. Claude Code also records when this skip happens.\n\nThis behaviour sits behind a feature gate named `tengu_sharded_globe`. Nothing has been read about that gate, so whether it is active in this release is unknown.\n\n**Why**\n\nIf you use Claude Code inside a host that supplies its own redirect address, signing in to some MCP servers may now complete through localhost.\n\n- Flag `tengu_sharded_globe`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.314; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: MCP\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 2\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
