A tool call is a request from Claude to use one of its tools, such as running a command. This release adds two new cases:\n\n- Local check switched off: when the local safety check is turned off, Claude Code falls back to asking you, and reports a new reason saying so.\n\n- Calls from a script: a call made from a script is refused every time, with a message saying the safety check never sees calls made that way.\n\nClaude Code also now records whether the local check was switched off and how it connected to the server-side check.\n\n**Why**\n\nSome auto mode refusals now come with different guidance to Claude. If a script you rely on makes tool calls in auto mode, expect those calls to be refused.\n\n- Area: Auto Mode\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 1\/5\n- Signal: 2\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
