A subagent is a helper agent that Claude starts to work on part of a task. When a subagent is stopped because that safety check does not run for this session, or keeps returning no result, Claude Code now gives the model a message that says:\n\n- the agent was stopped because the safety check is unavailable\n\n- nobody interrupted it\n\n- its output is only partial\n\n- it should tell you what is blocked\n\n**Why**\n\nA subagent stopped this way now explains itself instead of failing silently. You should hear that auto mode's check is unavailable and what work could not finish.\n\n- Area: Auto Mode\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 1\/5\n- Signal: 1\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
