Part of that check can run on Anthropic's server. Several related pieces changed.\n\n- Input rewrite honoured: a server classifier input rewrite (`serverClassifierInputRewrite`, with `keptVerdict`) is now honoured.\n\n- Input rewrite recorded: when the input is rewritten, Claude Code also sets `serverClassifierOwnInputRewritten`. It sets `serverClassifierInputRewrite` to a record with cause `turn_step`, source `mod`, `byLocalCode` false and `keptVerdict` false. Before, only `serverClassifierInputRewritten` was set.\n\n- Remote dispatch: one remote call now passes `localClassifierSite: \"remoteDispatch\"`.\n\n- Arbiter when off: when the mode is `off`, a call can still go through the server arbiter if an extra condition holds.\n\n- No-server-check state: each session now tracks when no server check happened, using `noteNoServerCheck`, `noteNoServerCheckStoppedTurn`, `takeNoServerCheckStoppedTurn` and `takeNoServerCheckAnnouncement`.\n\n- Stale records: `dropAutoModeUnavailableResponsesOfOtherTurns` clears records of auto mode being unavailable that were left from earlier turns.\n\n**Why**\n\nThese change how permission checks behave when the server classifier rewrites the input or is missing. A server check can now apply even with auto mode off, and the session keeps track of when a server check could not happen.\n\n- Area: Auto Mode\n- Tier: Under the hood\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 4\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
