Claude Code has a check that applies to an MCP server only when all of these hold:\n\n- it connects over http\n\n- its address matches\n\n- it has been held since Claude Code started\n\nThis check has been moved into a separate helper. It behaves as before, and the server-side switch is still checked after it.\n\nThat switch is off unless it is switched on remotely.
