It looks in this order:\n\n- a value from the environment\n\n- otherwise a number from Anthropic's servers, accepted only within a fixed range, one end of which is 5400000 milliseconds (90 minutes). This step is skipped for sessions started as `remote_cowork_trigger`.\n\nA server switch can make the check apply no age limit at all under some conditions.
