Some tools are deferred, meaning they are loaded only when needed instead of at the start. During compaction, Claude Code can now add a list of the deferred tools that were already loaded before the summary to its notice about those tools.\n\nThis only happens when a server-side switch is on. That switch is off unless it is switched on remotely. When it is off, the notice is left as it was.\n\n**Why**\n\nIt affects whether a compacted session keeps track of which on-demand tools it had already loaded, instead of losing that after the summary.\n\n- Flag `tengu_radiant_lemur`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.311; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Compaction\n- Tier: Under the hood\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
