Claude Code can now take pieces it is holding back (text, structured data and Claude's thinking) and fold them into a single update instead of passing each one along separately.\n\nThis sits behind a server-controlled switch, `tengu_toasty_giraffe`, which falls back to off when the server sends nothing. If the server sends a value that is not a plain true or false, Claude Code logs that it ignored it and treats the switch as off.\n\n**Why**\n\nGrouping streamed pieces could change how a reply appears on screen as it arrives. Because it is off unless switched on remotely, nothing changes by default.\n\n- Flag `tengu_toasty_giraffe`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.311; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Streaming\n- Tier: Nothing to try yet\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no\n- Present in the build but not switched on"}
