A new helper lets Claude Code dial again to an MCP server that failed to connect, so a tool search can use that server's tools. It runs only when a server-controlled switch allows it.\n\nA server qualifies only when all of these are true:\n\n- it connects over the web (HTTP or SSE)\n\n- its address is a public hostname\n\n- its URL contains no credentials and no query string\n\n- it has no OAuth (sign-in) configuration\n\n- it has failed fewer than a set number of retries\n\nA second new function removes stored MCP sign-in tokens for one server at a time.\n\n**Why**\n\nThis is automatic reconnection for MCP servers during tool search.
