It decides whether a session \"holds a fork\". A session is one running conversation with Claude Code. The setting can name:\n\n- Model families: a session using one of them holds the fork.\n\n- SDK hosts: programs that run Claude Code through its software development kit can be included as a group.\n\n- A \"cold after\" time in seconds, defaulting to 270 and capped at 3600. Claude Code compares the time of the last response against it.\n\nWhen the server sends nothing, the model family list is empty and SDK hosts are left out, so no session holds a fork.\n\n**Why**\n\nIn practice nothing changes until the server supplies a value. The setting only describes which sessions qualify and for how long.\n\n- Flag `tengu_wobbly_petal`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.311; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: not a boolean we can read) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Sessions\n- Tier: Under the hood\n- Useful: 1\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
