A subagent is a helper agent Claude starts to handle part of a task. The request is skipped when Claude Code is limited to essential network traffic, or when data is kept in a region outside Anthropic's own. Some server refusals are treated as permanent and not retried.\n\nA \"requesting\" status row that comes right after a tool result, with nothing new added, is now sent as live-only. It shows up while the session runs but is not saved, when the server's settings allow it.\n\n**Why**\n\nCloud and Remote Control sessions can restore subagent details, and the saved session history carries fewer throwaway status rows.\n\n- Area: Cloud Sessions\n- Tier: Under the hood\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
